Jane's Walk Regina 2018 - List of Walks

Regina's 10th year of Jane's Walk will take place between May 4-6, 2018. Below are the list of walks on offer this year.

Friday May 4, 2018
  • 10:00am - Guided Nature Walk at Wascana Marsh
    • Walk Leader: Kayla Burak, Nature Conservancy
    • Meeting Location: Wascana Hill (McDonald St and Douglas Park ball diamonds)
  • 7:00pm - Dykes of the Mighty Wascana 
    • Walk Leader: Jim Elliott
    • Meeting location: Cameron Street Bridge

Saturday May 5, 2018
  • 10:00am - What Came Before the Big Dig? (1.5 hours)
    • Walk Leader: Jim Elliott
    • Meeting location: Queen's Statue in front of Legislative Buildings
  • 11:00am - Let's Be All Together: mâmawêyatitân centre
    • Walk Leader: Jan Morier
    • Meeting location: mâmawêyatitân centre (Elphinstone Street and 6th Avenue entrance
    • * Please note that a limited number of participants can be accommodated on this walk. Please show up early to ensure you have a space*
  • 1:30pm - Wascana Park Heritage Discovery Walk (1.5 hours)
    • Walk Leader: Vincent Murphy
    • Meeting location: Queen's Statue in front of Legislative Buildings
  • 2:00pm - Walk for Peace and Justice (2 hours) 
    • Walk Leader: Peace Quest Regina
    • Meeting location: In front of the Saskatchewan Legislative Building (2405 Legislative Drive) Treaty 4 territory

Sunday May 6, 2018
  • 10:00am - From Regina's Powerhouse to Far Away Place (1.5 hours)
    • Walk Leader: Jim Elliott
    • Meeting location: Playground in front of the Saskatchewan Science Centre
  • 11:00am - A Child's Guide to the Heritage Neighbourhood (1 hour)
    • Walk Leader: Rye Huck Fraser
    • Meeting location: Alley just North of Toronto Street and College
  • 1:30pm - Wascana Park Heritage Discovery Walk (1.5 hours)
    • Walk Leader: Vincent Murphy
    • Meeting location: Queen's Statue in front of Legislative Buildings
  • 2:00pm - Walking to Quance Street (2 hours)
    • Walk Leaders: Ingrid Thiessen and Jonathan Pradinuk
    • Meeting location: University Park Shopping Centre (208 University Park Drive)
